With the release of photos last June on the set of the Barbie movie, it is now clear that rollerblade is back! The film, which will be released in 2023, contains inline skating scenes, shot in Venice beach, California. We can actually see Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling with vintage skates in fluorescent neon colors, straight out of a 90s workout tape!

These yellow and pink skates have also caused a lot of talk, with their retro look that brings back the disco nostalgia of the 70s and 80s. These skates come from the brand Impala, a roller skating company founded by a team of girls passionate about skating. This is the popular Lightspeed model, often referred to as one of the best skates for beginners and intermediates, intended for recreational use. Shop this Barbie special edition skate here!

Solo is proud to have gotten its hands on a few copies of this skate and you can get it right now at one of the only stores in Canada! If you want the same skate with retro vibes, but in different colors, the same model is available in 3 pastel colors, which are sure to turn heads: Fairy Floss, Flames And White.

This model of inline skate is very comfortable from the first outing and does not require any adaptation time. It is composed of a rigid and padded, but breathable boot, 70mm wheels and Abec-7 bearings. The Lightspeed model also comes with an optional brake. It can be used indoors and outdoors and is vegan-friendly.

Just want to add a pop of color or a vintage vibe to your skate kit? We also have other Impala products, including protection kits for adults and children, socks and wheels.
